Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is accepting applications for PA certified Special Education Assignments to cover open assignments in a four county area. Positions are full-time and available immediately.

TEACHER OF THE DEAF/HARD OF HEARING:

Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is accepting applications for teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. PA Department of Education Hearing Impaired PK-12 certification is required. Positions are full-time (187 working days) with full benefits package. Positions are in the four-county area.

SPEECH & LANGUAGE IMPAIRED TEACHERS:

Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is accepting applications for PA certified Speech & Language teachers. Positions are full-time (187 working days) with full benefits package. Positions are in the four-county area.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS:

Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is accepting applications for substitute teachers for day-to-day assignments. Assignments are available in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, and Somerset Counties. PA Certification is required. Potential applicants not holding PA Certification but have a bachelor's degree or higher may apply for substitute teacher program. 

TEACHERS OF THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED:

Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is accepting application for Teachers of the Visually Impaired. PA Department of Education certification is required. Positions are full-time in a four county area.

WORLD LANGUAGE(S) VIRTUAL LEARNING FACILITATOR:

 Part-Time per student position. Must possess PA Teaching Certification in a World Language and have experience delivering instruction in a virtual environment.
