The Human Resource Department provides services to Intermediate Unit employees and member school districts. These services include the following:
Responsible for all issues and requirements regarding the Human Resource function for over 300 employees.
Maintains confidential files on all employees.
Coordinates and insures compliance with federal and state mandates which are related to personnel including but not limited to Title VII, Title IX, ADEA, ADA and
FMLA.
Maintains a current application system for professional and non-professional positions.
Insures compliance with all Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements with respect to teacher and administrative certification.
Develops and updates job descriptions.
Hosts trainings for districts to include teacher certification, employee evaluation and documentation, and other HR sessions as requested.
Identification Cards for Intermediate Unit staff and districts as requested.
Monitors and tracks Intermediate Unit staff leave time.
Coordinates the Emergency Guest Substitute Teacher program for participating districts.
Process Act 48 hours for all Intermediate Unit sponsored professional development.
Monitors and tracks Intermediate Unit staff in-service hours.
Maintains collective bargaining unit agreements.
Maintains salary reports.
Provides consultation and assistance to districts as requested for Human Resource related topics.
Disseminate information to districts and provide training as needed.
